1. Keep your Two Way Radio Battery contact points clean. If they get dirty, clean them with a pencil eraser.
   
2. Always turn your 2-Way Radio off while charging the battery.
   
3. Try to keep your Two-Way Radio Battery away from high heat. Don't leave it in a hot vehicle.
   
4. If you have a Ni-CD Radio Battery, don't recharge it before the battery is fully discharged. Try to fully drain the battery every time and then FULLY recharge the battery.
   
5. If you have a Ni-MH battery, fully discharge and charge it once or twice a month.
